Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not a tech expert. Will this workshop be too technical for me?

Absolutely not. This workshop is designed for all adults, regardless of technical background. We focus on practical application and conceptual understanding, not complex coding or engineering. We will demystify AI terms, provide hands-on practice with user-friendly tools, and concentrate on the specific AI concepts that directly impact your life as an educator or parent. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident, not overwhelmed.

What is the most technical term I will encounter, and will you explain it clearly?

While we might discuss terms like "Generative AI," "Large Language Models (LLMs)," or "Prompt Engineering," our focus is always on understanding their function and practical application, not the underlying code or mathematics. Every concept is introduced with clear, jargon-free explanations and real-world analogies designed for people who are not tech experts. Our goal is to teach you to how to use AI tools creatively and effectively in your home or workplace.

Do I need to bring a specific device or have any special software installed?

To get the most out of our hands-on sessions, we kindly ask that you bring your own laptop or tablet. This will allow you to follow along directly and immediately practice the concepts we cover, such as using various web-based AI tools. No special software needs to be installed beforehand; if you can browse the internet, you're ready! Bringing your own device ensures you leave the workshop feeling comfortable and confident using AI on the equipment you use every day.

What our families say

Whether you are a family, a school or a corporation our mission is to work with as many like minded people to deliver STEM learning and life skills to as many children around the world as possible.

  • The only camp my daughter enjoyed

"The quality of teaching was very good and they clearly had a passion for teaching and contributing. My daughter has attended many summer camps over the years and this is the only one that she enjoyed. I would happily recommend STEM for Kids programs to other parents!''

Parent of one of our camp students
  • We hope to be back!

Lots of things to do and we hope to be back. Thank you to Miss Raghad and the other teachers who were very friendly, and sent through daily photos. Thanks very much.

Parent of one of our camp students
  • Great Experience!

Great experience! Positive everyday. Our son confident so we knew settling would be fine. But he enjoyed camp overall and is looking forward to attending again.

Parent of one of our camp students
  • Everything was perfect!

My boys really enjoyed going to the classes and could not wait to start each morning. The loved the building and programming - so much so that we struggled to get them out of the door each afternoon!

Parent of one of our camp students
  • The most valuable lesson was teamwork

My son enjoyed the coding and would come home and discuss the projects he worked on. I think he enjoyed working with the robots the most.

Parent of one of our camp students
  • She wanted to be prepared!

It was a really fun experience for my child. She looked forward to attending each day and before we left home, checked to see what was scheduled for the day to see if the experiment was possible! Every day she told us about what she had learned.
